DESCRIPTION:An exhibition by Richmind and other artists\, to promote the benefits of art for all our mental health. \nCreating Meaning \n✰ Opening Event ✰\nSunday\, 4 January\n2:00pm to 4.00pm \nAn exhibition by Richmind and other artists\, to promote the benefits of art for all our mental health and raise funds for Richmind WA’s Mental Health Services Art Therapy Program\, “HeART & Soul”. \nCurated by Richmind’s Principal Artist in Residence and “Creative Therapies Coordinator David Giles \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\nThe HeART & Soul art project began as a simple distraction activity created to support people through the Christmas period\, a sometimes difficult and isolating time of year. The obvious benefits of meeting in a safe friendly supportive positive and encouraging space to create art\, led to the program becoming ongoing and a new focus of Richmind’s recovery approach and brand. \nThis exhibition celebrates the numerous and profound benefits art can have on our mental health and the amazing diversity of ways people can express themselves creatively to support their wellbeing.
