You will explore your own connection to Country through acrylic painting. \nThis workshop is part of the Armadale Arts Festival and will be led by the 2026 Festival Artist\, Aboriginal artist Lesley Murray\, with guest artist Shani Lee Darby. \n  \nWorkshop Details \n\nDate: Monday 4 May\nTime: 10:00am to 1:00pm (with breaks)\nCost: Free – please register\nLocation: Djeran Room\, Champion Centre\n(76 Champion Drive\, Seville Grove)\nWhat’s provided: All art materials and light refreshments\nContact: 9394 5979\n\nAbout the Workshop \n\nThis session is open to people of all abilities\, including people with disability and their support workers.\nLesley Murray will guide you step‑by‑step and encourage you to express your own stories\, memories and feelings about Country.\nThe workshop aims to create a safe\, welcoming space where everyone can enjoy art\, culture and creativity.\nLesley shares her own journey of strength and resilience after experiencing a stroke.\nShe says:\n“Painting is my way of showing how I feel about Country.
