SUMMARY:Claremont Anzac Day Events
DESCRIPTION:The Claremont RSL sub-branch\, with support from the Town of Claremont\, will hold its annual Anzac Day ceremony in Claremont Park on Saturday 25 April. \nProceedings will begin at 7:30am with the service including The Last Post and Ode\, a commemorative address and wreath laying by local primary school children\, cadets and veterans. Music will be provided by the Claremont Concert Band. \nA free BBQ breakfast hosted by the Claremont Nedlands Lions Club will follow the official proceedings\, with complimentary beverages including coffee\, tea and juice to be supplied. \nMayor Peter Telford said Anzac Day is a significant event for our community. \n“It is a time for us to pay our respects to the service of past and current members of the armed forces\,” Mayor Telford said. \nThe Anzac Day event will run from 7:30am to 9:15am on Saturday 25 April in Claremont Park. \nFurther information can be found on our website here.
