Listen to free music\, get up and dance\, indulge in some tasty food and drink or just people watch on the banks of the river. \nThis event is delivered by Perth Festival and proudly supported by the City of Vincent. \nCasa Musica will run Thursday – Sunday throughout the Perth Festival season: \n\nThursday & Friday from 5pm\nSaturday & Sunday from 4pm\n\nInspired by the vibrant piazzas and parks of southern Europe\, Casa Musica is a celebration of community\, of summer\, of the way music can bring us together. It’s where people of all ages come – with dogs\, prams\, picnic blankets and dancing feet – to soak up incredible live music by the paperbark trees\, as the sun sets over the river. It’s a place where you can feel welcome\, joyful and connected. A place to enjoy a meal and kick back with a drink. It’s everything a festival should be. And best of all – it’s free. \nIn 2026 Perth Festival showcase the sounds of world-class musicians from across the Indian Ocean rim and beyond\, in a program reflecting the diversity of our city and our place in the world. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Lunar New Year under the glow of the red lanterns at Casa Musica with lion dancers\, live music and more at this FREE family-friendly event.\n Wear red – a colour symbolising luck\, happiness and prosperity – and join in an unforgettable night of music\, tradition and celebration.\nUnder the Red Lanterns brings together Perth’s largest Southeast Asian line-up for a night that honours tradition while celebrating contemporary talent.\nThe evening opens with Linh & William Acoustic Duo\, setting a warm and soulful tone with their heartfelt acoustic set. Flying Kik follows\, blending smooth vocals and rhythmic grooves that capture the pulse of modern Asian-Australian sound.\nAs night falls\, Kurt Carrera and his band takes the stage with their signature energy and charisma\, igniting the crowd with powerful vocals and infectious beats.\nThe evening crescendos with the Yaolin Kung Fu Dragon & Lion Dance Association – a spectacular fusion of drums\, cymbals\, acrobatics and colour – embodying the spirit\, strength and good fortune of Lunar New Year.\nGuests are invited to take part in this tradition by gifting a red packet (provided on the night\, please add your money donation inside) – a small envelope symbolising prosperity and good luck – to the lions during the performance.\nOne night only.
