DESCRIPTION:We welcome people living with memory loss and Dementia\, and their carers\, to come for a coffee\, stay for a fun table-top activity and share experiences. \nThe Shire of Harvey is piloting a Forget-Me-Not Memory Café – and coffee and cake for the first outing is on us! \nThe Memory Café aims to provide social opportunities for community members living with memory loss and Dementia-related conditions. \nJoin us at Harvey Connect on Wednesdays from 10am to 12noon. \nWe welcome people living with memory loss and Dementia (and their carers) to come for a coffee\, stay for a fun table-top activity and share experiences with others in the community. \nNo RSVP required – just drop in and have a cuppa with us! \nMeeting dates:\n\n4 March 2026\n18 March 2026\n1 April 2026\n15 April 2026\n29 April 2026\n13 May 2026\n27 May 2026\n10 June 2026\n24 June 2026\n\nThe founder\nThe Forget-Me-Not memory cafe concept was pioneered many years ago by Angi McCluskey\, who recognised the importance of bringing together people living with dementia in a relaxed\, supportive setting. \nHer vision has since inspired many similar cafes across Western Australia\, including the one in Harvey\, helping to reduce isolation and create an environment where people share experiences.
