DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Lizards Reserve in Wandi as we plant an Urban Shade Forest to enjoy for years to come.\n\n\nJoin us to celebrate World Environment Day at Lizards Reserve in Wandi. Help us to plant 700 native seedlings to improve habitat for wildlife and together we can create cooler\, greener and more resilient cities. \nUrban Shade Forests are small pockets of native plants growing in urban spaces\, helping to bring nature back into our cities where vegetation has often been lost over time. Take home some native seedlings to bolster your own garden and enjoy a light lunch at the end (please advise of any dietary requirements). \n\nWear clothing appropriate for the weather including long sleeves and enclosed shoes\nGloves and planting tools will be provided\, however you’re welcome to bring your own gloves if you wish.\nRoad parking will be available along Litchfield Circle\, meeting just inside the reserve opposite house 83.\n\nRegistration is essential. \nThis event is delivered in partnership with Conservation Volunteers Australia through CVA’s Urban Shade Forest initiative. The Urban Shade Forest initiative is supported by founding partner Chevron Australia\, Chevron’s premium fuel brand Caltex and supported locally by the City of Kwinana.
