Misinformation can affect public health\, elections\, disaster responses and individuals. \nIn this session you will: \n\nThink carefully about the information and media you see\, especially online\nLearn to identify and compare different forms of information and media\nFind out how to verify information and media\nLearn how social media algorithm and AI work\n\nJoin this session for a demonstration of how to use these resources\, then stay behind afterwards for some one-on-one assistance to get you started on your mobile phone or tablet. \nAdditional information \nGetting to the event: \nSubiaco Library has limited parking bays available at the rear of the building including two accessible parking bays. DESCRIPTION:Facilitated by WAAPA film academic Dr. Damien Spiccia\, join us for a world cinema film and lively post-film chats!\n\n\nWelcome to Friday Film Club! \nFacilitated by WAAPA film academic Dr. Damien Spiccia\, Friday Film Club attendees will view a world cinema film and chat about it as a group after each watch. \nFriday Film club is aimed at people aged 18 to 40 years old. \nEach month\, Dr Damien Spiccia chooses a world cinema film from library streaming platform Kanopy\, and March’s film is 1954 crime drama On the Waterfront. \nFriday Film Club aims to foster community engagement\, media literacy\, and cultural conversation in a relaxed and inclusive environment. \nIt doesn’t matter if you’re a total film buff or brand new to world cinema – join us\, bring your friends\, and let’s chat all things film! \nPlease note: Snacks and drinks will be provided.
