Each year older Australians lose millions of dollars through scams. While the internet is a wonderful place to explore and connect with others\, we cannot always be sure that people are who they say they are. Once you know a scammer’s tricks\, you’re more likely to be able to spot a scam. \nThe BeConnected talk topics covered include: \n\nPhishing scams\nTax and medicare scams\nFriendship and romance scams\nTech support scams\nHow to get help if you suspect you’re being scammed\n\nJoin this session for a demonstration of how to use these resources\, then stay behind afterwards for some one-on-one assistance to get you started on your mobile phone or tablet.
