Dan and Luke will do what they can with the tools and facilities available\, though more complex repairs may need to be referred back to Dan’s shop. To keep things flowing\, bigger jobs might be set aside temporarily\, perfect excuse to grab a coffee and relax. \n \nTickets are not needed but can registering for this event can help with reminders.

DESCRIPTION:A free\, volunteer-run repair service for common household things. Need something fixed? Bring it to Repair Lab! \n \nWhat types of things do we repair? \nVolunteers repair items at three stations:  \n\n\nTextile station (tears\, buttons\, patches\, seams – repair only. No alterations)\nHousehold item station (non-electrical items such as cookware\, furniture\, tools\, frames\, bikes\, toys\, shoes)\nElectrical* station (very low voltage only such as toys\, remote controls\, chargers\, cameras\, home systems).\n\nAlso at the event: \n\n\n\nDan the Bike Man will service bicycles for free (except cost for any parts)\nA Buy Nothing Market for you to give away any good-condition items or take items away for free! When you leave\, you must take back any unclaimed items you brought.\n\n\n \n* Update: electrical items over 120 volts DC or over 50 volts AC will not be seen to. We only repair very low voltage electrical items. Check your device power supply or search the model online to find out the voltage.  \n \nHow to attend Repair Lab \nFirstly\, understand our event conditions. Then bring your item to the EcoHub on event day. 1 item per household. No need to book but arrive early for the best chance to get seen-to. We may turn-back repairs if the queue is large\, especially after 11.00am. \n \nOn arrival we will assess your item for repair. If accepted\, add your details to the queue. When your name is called\, bring your item to the repairer\, explain the issue and stay with them as while work. \n \nYour repairer will try their best to fix your item or give advice. Successful repair or not\, once completed please take your item home with you. \n \nEvent conditions \n\n\nWe cannot guarantee a successful repair or a return to its condition prior to the repair work. We will not reassemble items which are beyond repair. Please be willing to accept loss or else find a repair specialist.\n1 item only per household. Stay at your station while waiting in the queue. DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Yarloop Recreation Ground this October for a free emergency services community event! \nThe event will showcase emergency service agencies and \nfeature a variety of family-friendly activities\, including police and fire games\, a fire truck pull\, stalls and food vendors. \nRepresentatives from WA Police\, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES)\, local Bush Fire Brigades\, the State Emergency Service (SES) and St John WA are expected to take part. \nThe free event is an opportunity for community members to meet the people who help keep our communities safe\, learn more about local emergency services and enjoy a family-friendly day out. \nEvent detailsDate: \nSunday\, 25 October 2026 \nTime: \n10am–2pm \nLocation: \nYarloop Recreation Ground \nCost: \nFree \nThis event is being delivered by WA Police with support from the Shire of Harvey.

DESCRIPTION:Bring your own project or join a group craft project using textiles (crochet\, sewing\, embroidery\, etc.). \nBuild skills\, confidence and community while caring for the environment and reducing waste – we highly encourage reusing\, repurposing and repairing! Drop in and head home as you please within this three hour timeframe. \n\nA basic understanding of crafting is desired – if a mentor is in attendance they can guide\, share or troubleshoot with you\, or ask another attendee!\nThree sewing machines and 1 overlocker are available for use on a first served basis\, please be conscientious of others and share the equipment\nAn iron and ironing board are available for use\, please be conscientious of others and share the equipment\nSome commonly used sewing consumables available to share if you need them e.g. buttons\, needles\, pins etc.\, but it’s advised that you bring your own\nKitchen & tea/coffee facilities available\n\nWhat to bring: \n\nKitchen & tea/coffee facilities available\nSewing consumables (some are available to share if you need them)\n\nPlease note: unfortunately for safety reasons we are unable to have BYO sewing machines\, overlockers or any equipment that plugs into power unless it has been tested and tagged by a licenced electrician. The City holds two free Test and Tag sessions per year which will be made available for regular members of the group.
