Be Connected – Avoiding scams
Join us during National eSmart Week to learn how to protect your personal information online, different types of scams to be aware of, early warning signs to look out for, where to get help and how to report scams.
This session is suitable for adults who have intermediate level digital skills and are experienced with: using a device, searching the Internet, using email, and using apps.
Date: Thursday 8 September 2022
Time: 1.30pm – 2.30pm (please arrive by 1.20pm for a prompt 1.30pm start)
Venue: Stirling Libraries – Karrinyup, Davenport Street, Karrinyup WA 6018
Tea and coffee will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own reusable coffee cup.
Bookings are essential as places are limited
Be Connected programs are funded by Good Things Foundation and the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Participants’ contact details will be added to the Good Things Network: Be Connected Learning Management System. The details will be used for tracking your progress against funded learning programmes run by Good Things Foundation, reporting and improving products in line with their privacy policy. They will be shared between Stirling Libraries, Good Things Foundation and The Australian Government Department of Social Services. Your details will never be sold on to any other third parties.
