Be Connected – Laptop and computer basics course @ Osborne Library

Be Connected is an Australia-wide program designed to help adults build confidence with using technology and learn basic digital skills.

Be Connected – Laptop and computer basics course for beginners

Learn the basics of how to use a laptop or desktop computer, including how to navigate your device, accessing basic software programs, searching the Internet and using email.

This short course is suitable for adults who are beginner level only (you will be learning basic digital skills).

Bookings are essential as places are limited and you must commit to attending all five sessions.

Date: Fortnightly on Thursdays (from Thursday 21 July to Thursday 15 September 2022)

Time: 10.30am – 12.00pm (please arrive by 10.20am for a prompt 10.30am start)

Venue: Stirling Libraries – Osborne, Royal Street, Tuart Hill WA 6060

Tea and coffee will be provided: Attendees are encouraged to BYO reusable coffee cup.

What to bring: Please bring your own device (laptops only).

  2. Thursday 4 August: Laptop and Computer basics 1 of 2
  3. Thursday 18 August: Laptop and Computer basics 2 of 2
  4. Thursday 1 September: Internet basics
  5. Thursday 15 September: Email basics

Be Connected programs are funded by Good Things Foundation and the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Participants’ contact details will be added to the Good Things Network: Be Connected Learning Management System. The details will be used for tracking your progress against funded learning programmes run by Good Things Foundation, reporting and improving products in line with their privacy policy. They will be shared between Stirling Libraries, Good Things Foundation and The Australian Government Department of Social Services. Your details will never be sold on to any other third parties.
