Carols by Candlelight – City of Armadale
December 7 @ 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeIn an annual Christmas tradition, the City of Armadale invites you to join in the festive spirit of the holiday season with Carols by Candlelight. This family friendly Christmas event is bursting with community pride and celebration as it resonates the incredible community spirit we have right here in Armadale! You are invited to come and enjoy the evening in person or tune into the livestream broadcasted through our website.
The evening begins early with the Christmas Parade through Jull Street Mall. Featuring a variety of colourful characters and performances by local community groups, providing an exciting spectacle for the young and imaginative.
Santa Claus will bring up the rear of the parade, following it down through to Memorial Park, where the Carols by Candlelight performance takes place.
Collect your songbooks and LED candles with a gold coin donation, and join in the musical spectacular showcasing performances by local schools and community choirs, supported with live music by local musicians.

Crossways Food Appeal
Carols by Candlelight will host the Crossways Christmas Food Appeal on Memorial Park, where we’ll be collecting donations of non-perishable foods items and groceries from the community.
Crossways Community Services assists more than 1000 local families on low incomes and experiencing financial hardship within the City of Armadale every year with food and emergency relief. At Christmas, they provide food hampers and Christmas gifts for those needing assistance at this extra financially challenging time.
They welcome contributions of food or gifts from the community who would like to be a part of this project – find out more in the suggested donation list PDF below.
There will be public donation collection boxes at:
- Champion Centre
- Armadale Fitness & Aquatic Centre
- Armadale, Seville Grove, Kelmscott and Piara Waters Libraries
- City of Armadale Administration Building
until Thursday, 28 November. You can also drop off donations at Crossways (225 Railway Avenue), or at Carols by Candlelight on Saturday, 7 December at Memorial Park.
