DESCRIPTION:A club for grubby gardeners! EcoHub has just finished creating its new Boorong Garden area\, home to 7 new gardening beds that are just waiting to be used. This regular meeting will be for sharing\, socialising\, gardening\, learning\, eating and growing together! \nGuided by the wonderfully knowledgeable staff at EcoHub\, gardeners are welcome of all abilities and experience. Help maintain a productive patch\, reap the yummy benefits\, learn new skills and meet lifelong friends. \n \nPlease register\, as spaces are limited! \n \nLength \n2 hours\, casual come and go. \nLocation \nOutside in Boorong Garden \nRequirements \nWeather appropriate clothing \nType of event and expectations \nAdult Social Event – Activities are largely self guided with an emphasis on socialising and enjoying each others company. Guests are expected to be respectful to facilitators/staff and attendees alike. This event is unlikely to be suitable for children. \nAccessibility \nOutdoor on hard surfaces. Most garden beds are raised ~70cm. \nAccessible parking is available at front of EcoHub\, rooms are located on multiple levels via a ramp and toilets are available within the venue. A bus stop\, just a 2-minute walk away\, is conveniently located near EcoHub and services multiple routes. \nEcoHub is located at 555 Leach Highway\, Winthrop in the Piney Lakes Reserve. To reach us\, if heading westbound\, take the first left after Murdoch Drive on Leach Highway. If coming from the Fremantle area\, continue on Leach Hwy across Murdoch Drive and use the designated U-turn just after the lights to move to the westbound lanes. Go back through the lights at Murdoch Drive and take the first left. DESCRIPTION:An exhibition by Richmind and other artists\, to promote the benefits of art for all our mental health. \nCreating Meaning \n✰ Opening Event ✰\nSunday\, 4 January\n2:00pm to 4.00pm \nAn exhibition by Richmind and other artists\, to promote the benefits of art for all our mental health and raise funds for Richmind WA’s Mental Health Services Art Therapy Program\, “HeART & Soul”. \nCurated by Richmind’s Principal Artist in Residence and “Creative Therapies Coordinator David Giles \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\nThe HeART & Soul art project began as a simple distraction activity created to support people through the Christmas period\, a sometimes difficult and isolating time of year. The obvious benefits of meeting in a safe friendly supportive positive and encouraging space to create art\, led to the program becoming ongoing and a new focus of Richmind’s recovery approach and brand. \nThis exhibition celebrates the numerous and profound benefits art can have on our mental health and the amazing diversity of ways people can express themselves creatively to support their wellbeing.
