The Quilting Angels repurpose donated fabrics into quilts and snugs for people facing homelessness\, illness\, or financial hardship. \nJoin us in the Amherst Village Library’s CoGLAB for free project sessions where you can help create quilts for community donation. These are free drop-in sessions\, open to community members aged 16 years and over. The CoGLAB’s two sewing machines and many handheld sewing machines are available for use during sessions. \n\nNo bookings required.\n\nHDStreetwise is a non-profit charity op shop in Maddington which founded the Quilting Angels volunteer group and provides them with donated materials.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Geri-Fit at your local library and improve your physical fitness in a low pressure\, social environment. \n Geri fit is an evidence-based\, low impact physical fitness program developed as a “fall prevention” program and to keep people moving as they age. The exercises used in Geri-Fit are designed to improve flexibility and balance over time.  \nAs these events are very popular\, only those who have booked in will be able to attend.  Please note that this program is suitable for seniors aged 60+\, and is an exercise class. Please book one ticket for each person attending. Images and footage may be used by the City of Swan and event organisers for marketing and promotional purposes.
