Drawing inspiration from an unusual blend of artists – Fiona Apple\, Hole\, and Fleetwood Mac – Navy June create music that feels both familiar and fresh. This alongside a steady program of live shows (35 + in 2025 and 10 in 2026 to date)\, local festival inclusions and major supports is fuelling the rise of Navy June’s industry recognition and rapidly growing fanbase. \nHey So Hungry\nHey So Hungry are a four-piece band who came together in 2022 creating indie pop/indie rock from Perth\, WA. Their latest single\, “Another Lover\,” showcases their ability for creating infectious melodies with a powerful upbeat groove. In 2024\, the band received a WAM Song of the Year award for their previous single “Nocturnal.” \nSince forming\, the band have shared stages with numerous artists\, including King Stingray\, South Summit\, The Grogans\, and Sly Withers. They’ve also performed alongside Old Mervs at a sold-out show at the Freo Arts Centre\, and most recently supported The Rions on the WA leg of their tour. \nWith strong momentum behind them and a growing fanbase\, Hey So Hungry are fast becoming one of Perth’s most exciting emerging acts to watch. \nVisit profile \n\nWhat’s on \n\nLive original WA music\nPop-up bar\nFood trucks\nGood vibes in the city\n\nAbout Activate Perth \nActivate Perth is a nonprofit organisation focused on revitalising Perth’s CBD by transforming underutilised spaces into vibrant community hubs. SUMMARY:Chair Yoga 8 Week Program (Term 2) (Sold out)
DESCRIPTION:This event is sold out. \nCome along to this FREE 8 week chair yoga program! \nEach Friday afternoon you will be joined by accredited yoga instructor Diane Jones who will take you through one hour of chair yoga. \nYoga has been shown to increase strength and balance\, and to help reduce the risk of falls. Chair yoga uses a chair for stability to achieve yoga poses whilst having the same health benefits. Chair yoga is a fun and gentle way to achieve great health results including increasing flexibility and reducing stress.  \nPlaces are limited and registrations are essential.  \nBookings open 9:00am Thursday 9th April. \nPlease Note: Due to the popularity of this program\, this program is open to City of Armadale residents only. If you live outside the City of Armadale\, please get in touch with your local council to find out what available programs they have on offer. Thanks for understanding. \nFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: \nWhat age is chair yoga suitable for? \nChair yoga is suited to adults 18 years and above. \nCan I attend just one session? \nYes! We do encourage participants to attend as many of the sessions as possible\, however we understand that this is not always possible. You will need to register for each session that suits you. \nDo I need to have yoga experience? \nNo. All sessions are beginner friendly. \nDo I need to bring anything? \nWe recommend you wear light exercise clothing that you feel comfortable in and bring a water bottle. \nWhat are the dates? \nFriday's\, 1:30 – 2:30pm. \n24th April\, 1st\, 8th\, 15th\, 22nd\, 29th May\, 5th and 12th June. \nSomething has come up and I am unable to attend a session. How do I cancel my ticket? \nIf you are unable to attend any session you have registered for\, please cancel your ticket as early as possible so we can offer it to someone else. You can easily cancel your ticket by following the instructions in the Humanitix confirmation email you received when registering. Alternatively\, please contact the City’s Health Services team at 08 9394 5855 for assistance with canceling your ticket. \nHow can I register? \nBookings open 9:00am Thursday 9th April. Given the popularity of the program\, we strongly recommend registering online. Make sure you have your computer ready and register as soon as bookings open to secure your spot! \nPlease only register for the sessions you can attend. This gives other participants a fair chance to secure a ticket before the program sells out. \nCan I register for a friend? \nWhen registering\, you can select up to two tickets per person. This allows you to reserve a ticket for a friend or partner\, while also giving others a fair chance to secure a ticket before the program sells out. \nI didn't get into the program. What other options are available? \nIf you missed out on securing a spot in the program\, don’t worry—you can still add yourself to our waitlist. Should a spot become available\, we will reach out via email to offer you a ticket. \nIn the meantime\, have you explored the available options at the Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre? Although they don’t offer chair yoga\, they have a variety of classes that may suit your needs. To find out more\, you can call 08 9394 5850\, visit Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre in person at 60 Champion Drive\, Seville Grove WA 6112 or view the website here: active.armadale.wa.gov.au… \nAlternatively\, please get in contact with the Health Services team at 08 9394 5855 or via health@armadale.wa.gov.au to discuss other local free or affordable options to keep active.
