DESCRIPTION:The Neurological Council of WA invites people with neurological conditions or symptoms\, such as Parkinson’s disease\, multiple sclerosis\, spinal cord injury\, stroke or acquired brain injury\, to join the NeuFriends Neurological Support Group in Lakelands. \n \nNeuFriends is a free\, welcoming and inclusive space to connect with others\, share experiences and feel part of a supportive community. Partners\, parents\, carers and support workers are also welcome to attend. NeuroCare Community Neurological Nurses are available to provide information and support if needed. \n \nThe Lakelands NeuFriends group meets on the second Friday of every month. \n \nThis project is supported by a City of Mandurah Partnership Fund grant. \n \nAccessibility:  \nACROD parking and a Universal Access Toilet.

The obvious benefits of meeting in a safe friendly supportive positive and encouraging space to create art\, led to the program becoming ongoing and a new focus of Richmind’s recovery approach and brand. \nThis exhibition celebrates the numerous and profound benefits art can have on our mental health and the amazing diversity of ways people can express themselves creatively to support their wellbeing.
