DESCRIPTION:The Zonta Club of Perth Northern Suburbs\, in conjunction with Sponsor\, EEO Specialists and Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia)\, is appealing to the public to help assemble 1000 birthing kits that will save the lives of mothers and babies in developing countries. We are seeking volunteers who can spare a few hours on:- Friday 4 September (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM) or- Saturday 5 September (8:30 AM – 11:00 AM) \n  \nNo experience is necessary\, just a willingness to make a real difference. Over 300\,000 women die from pregnancy or childbirth-related complications every year – most of them in developing countries. The Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia) is dedicated to improving conditions for women all over the world by providing clean birthing kits. Each kit costs less than a cup of coffee\, but it provides essential resources to reduce infection and fatalities. \nRefreshments provided \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:As part of Library and Information Week\, join us for an interactive workshop exploring how artificial intelligence is used to create realistic images\, videos\, audio\, and written content.Through hands-on activities and real-world examples\, you’ll learn practical techniques for spotting AI-generated content\, recognising common signs of manipulation\, and thinking critically about what you see online. We’ll also discuss the benefits and limitations of AI\, why it can be difficult to tell what’s real\, and how to verify information using trusted sources. \nPlease book in as spaces are limited.  This program is suitable for all ages and is a hands-on workshop. Please book one ticket for each person attending. Photography and videography may be taken at this event. Images and footage may be used by the City of Swan and event organisers for marketing and promotional purposes.
