SUMMARY:The Natural Fashion Swap
DESCRIPTION:More than just a clothes swap! This event is about demystifying where your clothes come from\, where they go and how to understand what our clothes are actually made of\, whilst getting a new cute outfit for your troubles! \nThis event is about swapping natural fibre clothes only\, what does that mean you say? Look on your clothing tags for the below words- \n\n\nCotton \n\n\nLinen (Flax) \n\n\nHemp \n\n\nRamie \n\n\nWool (including Merino\, Lambswool\, Cashmere\, Mohair\, Alpaca\, Angora) \n\n\nSilk \n\n\n100% Leather/Genuine leather \n\n\nNo pressure\, no judgement\, just friendly guidance from Stephanie at Care To Rewear to help you feel more confident understanding your clothing choices. \n \nWhat to expect \nBring 5 pieces of natural-fibre clothing. At check-in\, we’ll go through them with you — a conversation\, not an inspection — and every item that meets the standard earns you a token to spend on the floor. If something doesn’t quite qualify\, you won’t leave empty-handed either way: we’ll give you a guide on what to do with it next. \nWe’re also welcoming genuine leather -shoes\, bags\, jackets\, up to 3 pieces. The one thing we ask you leave at home is faux or “vegan” leather. \nThe morning \n\n\n10:30am–11:00am -Doors open for check-in and token handout \n\n\n11:00am–11:45am -A short presentation\, a game or two\, and morning tea together — including a closer look at fibres that look natural but aren’t (bamboo and rayon among them) \n\n\n11:45am–1:30pm -The swap floor opens \n\n\nRunning a little behind? Not a problem -check-in continues all morning\, so simply join us whenever you arrive. \n \nCome curious. Leave knowing a little more about what’s actually in your wardrobe. \n \nAccessibility \nEvent is inside\, all one level. \nAccessible parking is available at front of EcoHub\, rooms are located on multiple levels via a ramp and toilets are available within the venue.
