DESCRIPTION:The one-hour sessions will involve 40 – 45 minutes of exercise\, including warm up and cool down phases. The remaining time will be dedicated to sharing fitness information\, questions and discussion. \nYou will build strength and improve mobility in these enjoyable outdoor sessions. Strength exercises will mainly involve standing and seated posture using equipment such as resistance bands and dumbbells. DESCRIPTION:Practice your craft skills and help your community at the same time \nThe HDStreetwise Quilting Angels is a community-focused volunteer group\, dedicated to supporting vulnerable members of the local community through crafting and skill-sharing. The Quilting Angels repurpose donated fabrics into quilts and snugs for people facing homelessness\, illness\, or financial hardship. \nJoin us in the Amherst Village Library’s CoGLAB for free project sessions where you can help create quilts for community donation. These are free drop-in sessions\, open to community members aged 16 years and over. The CoGLAB’s two sewing machines and many handheld sewing machines are available for use during sessions. \n\nNo bookings required.\n\nHDStreetwise is a non-profit charity op shop in Maddington which founded the Quilting Angels volunteer group and provides them with donated materials.
