My Future Care – An Introduction to Advance Care Planning for Carers

April 9 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

This online workshop covers what Advance Care Planning is, how to get started and how to talk with loved ones about your end-of-life.

We all want to have a say in what happens in the last part of our lives. By making plans that cover our care, lifestyle, health and finances, we work out what we want, as well as making things easier on those around us. This process is called Advance Care Planning.

This online workshop will cover information specifically targeted to carers on what is involved in Advance Care Planning, how to get started, and how to talk with their loved ones and those they care for about end-of-life wishes. It also allows carers to empower themselves to start their own advance care planning journey. It is a practical and interactive workshop where you will have the chance to get your questions answered.

Who is this for?

This online workshop is suitable for any individual in a caring role, whether it be in a formal or in-formal capacity. It is also suitable for individuals who are care recipients regardless of age, health or background. You don’t need any prior knowledge of Advance Care Planning to take part.

Thanks to funding from Carers WA, this workshop is free for anyone either in a caring role or a care recipient and living in Western Australia. There is a fee for participants from elsewhere in Australia. We are not able to offer this workshop to international participants.
