WONDERFUL WATTLE WALK GUIDED WALK
September 1 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

The wattle (Acacia) is the largest group of woody trees in Australia. WA is home to many of them . Your Kings Park Volunteer Guides will take you on a walk through the Acacia garden in Kings Park. You will discover a variety of remarkable Acacias, their perfumes, colours and special features and you may find one suitable for your home garden too.
Date: Thursday 1st September
Start Time: 11am sharp. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early
Meeting Location: Mia Mia across the road from the Pioneer Women’s Memorial, Forrest Drive, Kings Park
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This walk is up to 1.5 hours in duration and approximately 2 km.
Moderate degree of difficulty. The walk goes uphill and downhill on grass and on some sandy paths and steps.
This walk is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or mobility aids. We encourage you to contact the Visitors Information Centre (9480 3634) to ensure that we can meet your needs.
Comfortable enclosed walking shoes recommended.
Bring sunscreen, hat and water and a raincoat (weather dependent).
This walk will go ahead if it is raining but in the event of severe weather it may be cancelled. Check the notices section of the Kings Park website https://www.bgpa.wa.gov.au/kings-park for cancellation information.
BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATION: To give walkers the best experience our numbers are limited and booking is required. We ask that you please cancel prior to the day if you know you will not be able to attend. Hopefully, there will be another day that will suit you.
