Old Boyanup Bakery Cafe Review
To round off a trip around the wineries in Ferguson Valley my husband and I decided to have coffee/tea and cake but where to go? After a quick consult with Dr Google we decided on the Old Boyanup Bakery Cafe. At first sight, it is a small café on the south-west highway, one of many such places along main roads and I wasn’t expecting too much. However, I was happy to be proved wrong!

It was late Saturday afternoon but there was still a good selection of pies, sandwiches and cakes. We chose a cream doughnut – very good value at $3.80. We also had coffee and tea – prices were much the same as in Perth.

The café has a large, outside seating area. Restrooms are also outside. As there were no other customers we settled into the shaded chairs.

My husband was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of the coffee and then we cut the doughnut in half. It was excellent, one of the best I’ve had in a long time – I was sorry that we had decided to share one instead of having one each!

The Old Boyanup Bakery Café is open for breakfast and lunch and has a varied menu for those stopping in while travelling. The menu includes pies, pasties, burgers, rolls and sandwiches as well as those excellent cream doughnuts!
