Rocky Ridge has established itself as a must-visit craft beer destination in Busselton, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional dining experiences in Western Australia’s southwest. This popular brew-pub, in a quaint 1930’s cottage, combines exceptional craft beers (which happen to be Mr H’s favourite) with good food in a relaxed setting.

The brewery’s outdoor layout offers various seating options including a covered outdoor area (in cooler months). Their back courtyard, complete with vibrant murals, is perfect for enjoying Western Australia’s beautiful weather.

Rocky Ridge’s craft beer selection is huge! I recommend grabbing a 4-beer tasting paddle, if you’re not sure which beer takes your fancy. With options ranging from light, approachable lagers and pilsners, to fruity sours and more complex stouts – there is a beer for every ale drinker. Each beer comes with in depth descriptions, helping those new to craft brewing find something suited to their palate. For non-beer drinkers, the venue offers quality wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic alternatives.

Their current “Bobbys” food vendor has a menu that elevates Rocky Ridge beyond typical pub fare. Focusing on fresh ingredients, the kitchen produces thoughtfully prepared dishes that pair well with beer. Popular choices include substantial share plates, tacos, salads and hearty burgers. I found there to be a few gluten free options too, including the very yummy lamb tacos.

Unlike many trendy breweries, Rocky Ridge maintains an unhurried atmosphere and staff are approachable, taking time to explain menu items and make recommendations based on individual preferences.

Located just minutes from Busselton’s town center and the famous jetty, there’s plenty of parking right out the front. Rocky Ridge provides the perfect setting for lazy lunches with friends, or a spot to stop for a bite on a drive to Margaret River. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back.
