Together, they will reflect on their Zimbabwean upbringing, lives shaped by storytelling and reporting, and the powerful connections between personal history and political change.

Peter Godwin is an internationally recognised author, journalist and former human rights lawyer whose acclaimed memoirs include Mukiwa, When a Crocodile Eats the Sun, The Fear and Exit Wounds. Georgina Godwin is an award-winning broadcaster and journalist, Books Editor at Monocle Radio, and a leading interviewer of writers, thinkers and public figures.

Warm, insightful and thought-provoking, this event offers audiences the chance to hear from two remarkable storytellers in conversation about identity, exile, courage and the enduring power of stories.
