Pruning Demonstration

The City of Nedlands, together with the Rose Society of WA, invites community members to a hands‑on rose pruning demonstration at the Peace Memorial Rose Gardens.

Whether you’re new to gardening or a seasoned rose grower, this session will help you build confidence and learn best‑practice techniques.

What you’ll learn

  • Healthy rose care — how to keep your roses vibrant and well‑shaped

  • Correct pruning techniques — step‑by‑step guidance from experienced rosarians

  • Seasonal maintenance tips — what to do and when

  • Community connection — ask questions and meet fellow rose enthusiasts

🌿 Hands‑on participation is encouraged — join in or simply observe. 🧤 Please bring protective gloves and secateurs if you’d like to take part.

The City’s annual rose pruning program begins Monday 20 July 2026.
