Best Outdoor Cinema Perth – North
Rendezvous Film Club, Scarborough
Perth’s newest open-air rooftop cinema at Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough offers stunning views of the Indian Ocean and iconic sunsets. The Rendezvous Film Club features cult favourites every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Guests can enjoy artisanal platters and movie-themed cocktails at the exclusive Club Lounge before settling into deck chairs on the Observation Deck for the movie. Snacks and a pop-up bar are also available for a complete outdoor cinema experience.

Telethon Community Cinema – Burswood, Bassendean & Joondalup
Buying tickets to the Telethon Community Cinema is a great way to support an iconic WA charity. These venues are licensed, so they are strictly BYO food and non-alcoholic drinks only, a sausage sizzle is available at Burswood. Bring your own blanket or seating or hire a bean bag. Moonlight Cinema, Kings Park
Throw down a picnic rug on the lush lawns of Kings Park from Dec until March. Gates open at 6pm, and shows start after sunset (around 8pm). This BYO venue also offers with snacks and beverages. Life Boat, Mindarie Marina
Life Boat is a “pop up” cinema on Friday and Saturday summer nights in Mindarie. Treat yourself to a bucket of buttered popcorn and settle in for a FREE movie (many are grandkid friendly) on the big screen. Galaxy Drive-In, Kingsley
This drive in cinema is brilliant for a trip down memory lane and is one of the last of its kind in the country. The blast from the past is an excellent way to enjoy the latest films on a budget (it’s just $22 per car on Tuesdays!). Back in the car and pile the boot with pillows, blankets and bean bags. Rooftop Movies, Northbridge
The Rooftop cinema has to be one of the best outdoor cinemas in Perth! It comes complete with a beautiful backdrop of the city lights. The retro-themed roof top cinema has plenty of deck chairs. Rooftop Movies is a licensed venue, so no BYO. Popcorn, lollies, and ice cream are available for purchase. Our hot tip is to bring a blanket and cushion for extra comfort. Most shows start at 8pm. Kookaburra Cinema, Mundaring Weir
The magical Kookaburra Cinemas is found in the state forest, near to Mundaring Weir. Overnight camping is even available opposite, at the Hills National Parks Visitors Centre, for those not wanting to drive through the bush at night. For more info and session times see their website.

Telethon Community Cinema, Murdoch
