Union Kitchen, Mindarie

Overlooking the blue waters of Mindarie Marina, you’ll find Union Kitchen. My daughter and I stopped by the cafe for a coffee and a spot of morning tea. There’s seating inside, though it seems most people opt to sit on the sunny terrace, enjoying the views of the water and watching the boats go by. It’s a great spot if you have a dog too.

The light and bright cafe offers plenty of tables and some cosy booths.

Drinks

We enjoyed a couple of coffees, both served with a complimentary biscuit, which is a nice touch. There is a range of drinks available and the cafe is fully licenced.

Food

Food offerings range from full breakfasts and smahed avo to fresh tarts and burgers for lunch and sweet treats any time of day. As well as the menu items, there is a selection of cakes, pastries, and more available from the glass cabinet by the counter. Union kitchen is also open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.

I fancied the fruit toast, which came out of the kitchen piping hot, with the butter melted in nicely. It was a very good quality toast, with plenty of fruit in, from New Norcia Bakeries if I remember rightly.

My daughter enjoyed a sweet white chocolate slice from the cabinet with her coffee.

All in All

The café is very dog friendly, there are dog beds, water bowls as well as doggy treats, biscuits and “pupsicles”. Union Kitchen is a lovely little café with friendly staff and a stunning view. Definitely worth popping in for a coffee and something sweet.
