Prepare to Care Workshop (in person)
May 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
This new workshop to help carers understand more about the caring journey, prepare for transitions in relationships and learn more about Advance Care Planning (ACP) documents, carer responsibilities and how ACP can assist carers, has been developed by Palliative Care WA.
As well as discussing ways to care for your loved one, the workshop will explore how you can care for yourself, help you identify next steps and discuss possible support needs. It will also look at what to expect in the last days of life, and how to navigate grief and bereavement.
Who is this for?
This workshop is suitable for any individual in a caring role, whether it be in a formal or informal capacity. It is also suitable for individuals who are care recipients regardless of age, health or background. You don’t need any prior knowledge of Advance Care Planning to take part.
Thanks to funding from Carers WA, this workshop is free for anyone either in a caring role or a care recipient and living in Western Australia. There is a fee for participants from elsewhere in Australia. We are not able to offer this workshop to international participants.
