The Avon Descent Festival returns to Lilac Hill with a splash in 2026.
Join us on the banks of the Swan River at Lilac Hill Park, Caversham, to watch a portion of the incredible two-day 124km adventure challenge.
Entry is free.
Enjoy a day full of exciting activities and entertainment for the whole family, including:
- Kid Zone – giant bubbles, friendship bracelet making, face painting, hair braiding bar, glitter tattoos and more
- Free amusement rides, including dodgem bumper cars
- Roaming entertainment
- Artisan markets
- Food trucks
- Community activations.
And so much more.
Once again, we’re proud to be single-use plastic-free, so bring your refillable water bottles.

Parking and shuttle information
In addition to parking available at Lilac Hill Park, overflow parking will be available at Taylor’s Park, with complimentary shuttle buses operating continuously between the two locations throughout the event.
Traffic management measures and parking marshals will be in place to help attendees. For everyone’s safety and to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, please follow all directions provided by traffic controllers and parking marshals.
Alternatively, attendees may wish to catch the train to Guildford Station and enjoy a short walk to the event.
