AGWA VOLUNTEERS – YOUR SUPPORT IS VITAL
We rely on the support of our passionate volunteers to help bring the Gallery to life for our visitors through our events, exhibitions and public programs. We accept volunteers on an ongoing basis, as well as offering formally structured internships.
Why volunteer?
Help us share the value of art. We believe that art matters, is meaningful, and it should be shared so that we can all embrace it with imagination or passion. Our mission is to inspire visitors while presenting the art of Australia and our international counterparts, and to provide enriching communal experiences. Volunteering provides a rewarding experience that is vital in enabling us to achieve this vision. As an AGWA Ambassador you will inspire creativity and stimulate conversations.
What does a volunteer do?
You are the face of AGWA. You can be involved in a wide array of activities that allow us to share our love of art with others. These include greeting our visitors, informing people about exhibitions and activities on in the Gallery, and assisting with our diverse range of public programs and events. This may be helping children learn the art of puppet-making or welcoming guests to an after-hours event. Or simply sharing your knowledge of what’s on at the Gallery to help turn someone’s visit from good to great.
