Amaze Miniature Park, Barragup

Amaze Miniature Park

Why don’t you enjoy a slice of Britain at Amaze Miniature Park! The beautifully manicured gardens are found just 5 minutes from central Mandurah.

Years ago, it was known as Abingdon Miniature Village, as many of the buildings are based on actual places from the historical town of Abingdon in Oxfordshire. Plus you may even spot a few other models from all around the world.

A lot of love has been put into the gardens, by the current owners. There are lovely village scenes, churches, canals and country pubs, all weaved through shrubs and flowers.

Itโ€™s a very pleasant walk around the shady pathways, and there are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy.

Many of the mini buildings are exact replicas of actual places. They come with information plaques and stories to tell. The detail is wonderful.

Train lovers will enjoy โ€œTrain townโ€ and there are a few opportunities to push the button to make the trains chug around the tracks, complete with sound effects. Grandkids will love this!

The Mazes

Thereโ€™s lots of fun to be had too โ€“ with a traditional hedge maze. The maze is actually quite a challenge. The aim is to find the exit, which is pretty tricky!

A grass maze is also more harder to solve than it looks. I challenged my grandson to a race to the middle!

Mini Golf

Mini golf is included with the price of entry and the 12 holes are surprisingly challenging. Help yourself to clubs and balls โ€“ you can play as many times as you like!

There is also a shady children’s playground next to a grassed area. Snacks, drinks and ice creams are available at the entry. If youโ€™d like something more substantial, Decadent Cโ€™s cafรฉ is located right across the road. Picnics are welcomed and there is a pretty picnic area located next to the old cottage.

The entry price includes all mazes, miniature village, mini golf and more. Senior Card holder entry is $14. Toilets are onsite. Opening days are Wednesday to Saturday 9.30am – 4pm and Monday to Saturday during the school holidays.ย  Closed Sundays. Be sure to take a wander around Amaze Miniature Park – it’s wonderful!
