Amherst Village Library is housed in the Amherst Village Community Centre. The library boasts an outdoor reading area.  Come and enjoy the ambience – do some study, relax with the latest newspaper or just catch up with friends.

Amherst Village Painters Circle

When: Second Saturday of every month, 10am to 1pm

An open invitation to all artists in the local community.

The group aims to support and encourage others to explore hidden talents and share knowledge, while painting in the comfort of Amherst Village Library.

Artists are required to supply their own water-based/non-toxic materials.

Mahjong at Amherst Village Library

Whether you’re an experienced player, or have never played before, you’ll be welcome to join in the challenge of the Western classical style of Mah-jong.

Sessions run every Friday 12.30pm – 3.30pm. For more information contact the Amherst Village Library.

Sit and Knit

When: Every second Tuesday, 2pm – 4.30pm

Bring in your latest knitting or crochet project and join in the fun.

Join this friendly group and get to know others with the same interests. Free help is available, but the main focus is on fun and socialising.

Bring your own needles, wool and half-finished projects to complete in company. Refreshments will be provided.

Tech Thursdays

When: Fortnightly on Thursdays, 2pm to 3pm

Technology got you baffled? Tech Thursdays could provide the answer.

Not sure how to download, upload or surf the Web? Want to scan and email a document but don’t know how? Library staff can help.

Register your questions with library staff and come along to our Tech Thursdays for help with simple computing queries.
