Located over the railway line in the Perth Cultural Centre the State Library of Western Australia has been collecting and sharing the State’s cultural and social documentary heritage since 1887. With access to resources for information, learning, and recreation available in person or online, the State Library is your go-to place for information about Western Australia. Wander through an exhibition, read a book or enjoy a film – there’s something for everyone.
For children and families visit The Place where you can relax and share a story on comfy cushions; dress up and play with puppets or look at original artworks by children’s book illustrators. There are computers for children to listen to online audio stories and activity stations and special programs every school holidays.
In the Discovery Lounge you can sit and chat with friends or connect with them online by booking a computer or with free wireless access.
