Currently there are three locations around Perth and WA for spotting airplanes.
Firstly, there is the Perth Airport viewing platform. List is located on Dunreath Drive. It’s open daily between 6.30am and 7.00pm (October to March) and 7.30am and 5.30pm (April to September). There is a large car park and parking is FREE. The access pathway that is both wheelchair and pram friendly. Therefore everyone can enjoy watching the planes arrive and depart.
Secondly, Jandakot Airport also has viewing platform. This is is located on Eagle Drive, adjacent to the Air Traffic Control tower and the Aviators Café. Disabled parking is available. Take plane crazy grandchildren to watch from Robert J Cross Park, named in honour of the first Jandakot Airport employee.
Finally, the Beverley Soaring Society is located on the airfield just outside of the Beverley township. This is in the picturesque Avon valley about an hour and 45 minutes drive from Perth. Why not make a day of it and visit the airfield in combination with other local attractions?
