All Abilities Art- Connecting to Country through Art

Join us for a friendly, hands‑on art workshop where everyone is welcome. You will explore your own connection to Country through acrylic painting.
This workshop is part of the Armadale Arts Festival and will be led by the 2026 Festival Artist, Aboriginal artist Lesley Murray, with guest artist Shani Lee Darby.

About the Workshop
- This session is open to people of all abilities, including people with disability and their support workers.
- Lesley Murray will guide you step‑by‑step and encourage you to express your own stories, memories and feelings about Country.
- The workshop aims to create a safe, welcoming space where everyone can enjoy art, culture and creativity.
- Lesley shares her own journey of strength and resilience after experiencing a stroke.
She says:
“Painting is my way of showing how I feel about Country. Every brushstroke is a memory, a story and a connection to the land and my people.”
