Australia Day Multicultural Festival and Food Bazaar on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 11 am to 6:30 pm, at the Cannington Exhibition Centre and Show Ground (cnr Albany Hwy & 1 Station Street, Cannington WA 6107), for a vibrant celebration of Australia’s diverse culture. Welcome to Country: The festival opens with a traditional Aboriginal Welcome to Country ceremony, acknowledging the Whadjuk Noongar people’s ancestral lands. Flavors of the World: Savor international cuisine at 10 food stalls, including traditional Aboriginal bush foods. Cultural Performances: Enjoy music and dance by 120 artists from diverse backgrounds, featuring traditional Aboriginal performances, attire and instruments. Family-Friendly Fun: Face painting, henna art, kids’ activities and interactive exhibits ensure a fun-filled day. Unity and Inclusivity: Embrace Australia’s multicultural spirit, fostering connection and community. Entry is free. This festival promotes social cohesion, inclusivity and cultural exchange, celebrating our shared humanity.
