AWESOME International Arts Festival for Bright Young Things

AWESOME International Arts Festival for Bright Young Things returns to Perth for five days of theatre, music, visual arts, storytelling, and hands-on creative experiences for children aged 0 to 12 and their families. Presented by Barking Gecko Arts, the Festival has been Western Australia’s leading children’s arts festival for nearly 30 years, and the 2026 edition is its largest to date, running across three metropolitan hubs, the Perth Cultural Centre precinct, Yagan Square, and Subiaco Arts Centre. A good deal of the program is free, and every ticketed event across the Festival is $10, introduced in response to cost-of-living pressures, which makes it an easy day out to plan with the grandchildren.
