Bat Talk and Walk – Canning River

Join us for a relaxed evening discovering the secret lives of our local bats! Learn how we are studying these fascinating nocturnal mammals in the Canning River Regional Park, and the important role they play in our ecosystems. As the sun sets, we’ll take a short walk to watch the bats emerge and use bat detectors to listen in on their ultrasonic calls.
Perfect for all ages – bring a torch (preferably with red light), your curiosity, and get ready to experience the bush come alive after dark! Photo by Jesse Young.
Please wear enclosed shoes, long pants and long sleeved shirt plus insect repellent.
This event has limited tickets, so please cancel your tickets if you are unable to attend.
