Belmont Interest Group: World Environment Day

For adults and seniors
This program will be held in the Seniors Activity Hall, Belmont Hub
Julie and Gary Richards from Down2earth are passionate gardeners and seed savers who live in Cardup just south-east of Perth. Together they’ll be discussing the importance of soil health for our community, how one seed can bring resilience to our environment, and how gardens are such an important part of our future. Following this presentation there will be a social gathering to connect with others and enjoy a light afternoon tea.
About our Presenters
Gary is a bee-keeper and ambassador of the Wheenbee Foundation, promoting all pollinators including bees and bee-friendly gardens. He is also the vice chairman of the WA apiarist society. Julie is an avid vedgetable gardener and seed saver. Growing, saving and selling a range of heirloom clean seeds through their business Down2Earth.
