We all know what a tree is but what makes them unique and special?
Cockatoo KIDs will explore the trees in the Canning River Regional Park looking closely to discover surprising features that make them different from others. We will also learn how trees nurture wildlife and support the ecosystem.
Come along and be immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of the bushland.
It is an outdoor activity, so wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Bring a hat and water bottle.
Suitable for ages 7 – 14 years, accompanied by an adult.
Please only book tickets for the children who are attending the workshop.

Each year, the WA Tree Festival brings us all together to share the value of trees and encourages us to protect and improve our existing urban tree canopy across the suburbs.
The 2026 WA Tree Festival is sponsored by the Government of Western Australia, with the support of WALGA and Perth NRM.
