Colours of Our Country
September 16 @ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
An event every day that begins at 8:00 am, repeating until September 27, 2024
Colours of our Country is back for 2024!
The enthralling Aboriginal Art Exhibition is a showcase of breathtaking artwork, telling the stories and customs of Pilbara artists.
Now in its 19th year and proudly supported by Rio Tinto, the exhibition has become a momentous and celebrated platform, with 100% of all proceeds going directly to the artists, art centres and their communities.
There’s an incredible line up of talented Pilbara artists featured in the exhibition, including independent artists and participating art centres including Yinjaa-Barni Art Centre, Cheeditha Art Group and Juluwarlu Art Group. The exhibition has sold over 2,987 artworks generating more than A$3.3million for local artists, their art groups and communities. Come down and view the exquisite art on display, and support this highly anticipated annual event.
The event is free to attend, with all artwork available for sale.
If you can’t make it in person, visit coloursofourcountry.com to purchase from this year’s collection and learn stories from some of the exhibiting artists.
With limited artworks available each year, don’t miss out on securing your piece of the Pilbara. Save the date, as sales go live Monday 16 September.
