Contributing in Community: Discovering what you love to give

Did you know that we all have something to give? We call these gifts! When we are able to give our gifts to communities we care about, not only do we feel warm and fuzzy, we feel more connected to others and can brighten other people’s days too!
We invite you for a chat about the different ways we can give back to the people or communities we care about. It could look like helping out a neighbour or a volunteer role – there is no such thing as a contribution that is too big or too small.
**In this short and light hearted session we will think about:**
? What do you care about?
? How might you share what you care about with others?
? How Befriend, or other organisations in the community, could support you to do that!
Not sure what you have to contribute? Don’t worry! We are all on this journey together and there is no pressure to make any decisions – just a space for exploration.
There will be time for chatting and connecting so we can learn from each other too.
**This is perfect for you if you…**
* Are curious to learn more about yourself
* Going through a period of transition in life and want to connect with what you care about
* Have been thinking about connecting more with your community but not sure where to start
**What to expect:**
* Some structured conversation prompts
* Reflection time
* Chatting with others and sharing your experiences (if you are comfortable)
**What to bring:**
* Yourself, as you are
* A pen and some paper to write on
* An open heart and open mind
