Creative Community Flourishing – Thankfulness & Thank You Card Making

August 13 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

**Details**

**Creative Community Flourishing**
We’re excited to invite you to a delightful, creative flourishing workshop in partnership with Amherst Village Library.

In this second in our series, we’ll explore the Art of Saying Thank You and Thank You card making.

You’re welcome to join for the entire series or just the workshops that resonate with you.

**The Art of Saying Thank You – August 13th – 1 pm to 3 pm**
Join us to learn about well-being science and the “how” of saying “Thank You” and creating beautiful, heartfelt “Thank You Cards” that spread joy to both the giver and the receiver and create a deeper sense of connection.

**Your Vision for A Thriving Community – August 27th – 1 pm to 3 pm**
Being part of a vibrant and connected community truly enriches our personal and collective well-being and resilience. In this workshop, you’ll have the chance to let your creativity shine as you craft a free-flowing vision board, exploring what a thriving, connected community means and looks like through your eyes.

**Acts of Kindness – September 3rd – 1 pm to 3 pm**
Learn how small acts of kindness can truly brighten people’s days. They not only boost the happiness and well-being of those who perform them, but also help build a stronger, more trusting community where everyone feels safe, connected, and like they belong. To inspire you to share this warmth, we’ll create kindness hearts and cards together.

**Inspiration to Join Us**
If you’re looking for a little inspiration to join us, here’s a sneak peek at the wonderful wellbeing benefits of this series:

* Joining creative activities with others is a fantastic way to forge new friendships, help us feel less lonely, and build a warm, inclusive community where everyone feels they belong.
* As we participate in these activities, our well-being naturally receives a boost. The joy of creating and connecting helps us better manage stress, understand our feelings, and build confidence—all of which are wonderful for our mental health.
* When we connect and create, our brains release dopamine—often called the happiness chemical—and oxytocin, which helps us feel connected to others. These natural, feel-good chemicals lift our spirits and help us feel more relaxed and at ease.
* In essence, being creative is so much more than just having fun. It’s a meaningful way to enhance our overall wellbeing, develop heartfelt friendships, and nurture our mental, emotional, and social health.

We look forward to welcoming you.
