Family History Workshop: Immigration Records
February 9 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeMillions of people migrated to Australia over the 20th century. The National Archives of Australia holds records that document these life-changing journeys.
Join archival staff from the National Archives of Australia as we share migration stories from the collection, from pioneering cameleers and pearl divers to war brides and ‘Ten Pound Poms’.
Find out how to search for your own family’s records in the national archival collection and pick up some tips on researching family history.
This event may include discussion and images related to sensitive topics such as prisoners of war/internment camps, restrictions placed on migrants and other distressing subjects. Please be aware that this event may include images, voices, and names of Aboriginal peoples who have passed away.
