Family Open Day at No 1 Pump Station
Celebrate the Australian Heritage Festival and enjoy a special opportunity for your family to experience No 1 Pump House at Minderinjy outside of its normal open days. On Monday 27 April, you can visit for free from 12pm.
Learn about life on Western Australia’s goldfields and about an amazing feat to overcome the shortage of freshwater and discover some interesting facts about our favourite chimney.
With plenty of family-friendly activities on offer and the chance explore the hidden secrets of this special place, kids will love a visit to the No 1 Pump Station at Minderinjy, too.
Planning your visit
No 1 Pump Station will be open from 12pm.
Securing a free admission ticket and selecting a time to enter is essential, so we can manage visitor expectations and capacity.
No 1 Pump Station will be open across the ANZAC long weekend, but free entry is only available on ‘Family Open Day at No 1 Pump Station’, Monday 27 April 2026.

Parking is available at regular Mundaring Weir parking locations.
