Fast food for Cockatoos – Urban Trees for Cockatoo Survival | WA Tree Festival
Sabrina will be discussing the dire situation faced by our iconic black cockatoos which are facing extinction due to starvation.
The pressure faced by our Carnaby’s and forest red tailed cockatoos is far worse than experts previously warned. Sabrina will be discussing the imminent action needed to ensure the survival of these beloved bird species endemic to the south west of WA.
Find out what we can do as individuals and land managers to support supplementary feeding and watering stations over the next 10 years as an interim measure to allow rehabilitation efforts the chance to reach maturity and provide the required range of native food sources. This session is hosted by the City of Melville as part of the WA Tree Festival.
Tickets are available from Tuesday, 25 March 2025. Registrations are essential.
