Introduction to Birds Workshop

An introduction to bird watching to celebrate National Bird Week.
Bird watching is easy and fun for adults and children. Come and learn about the local birdlife around the Kent St Weir and how to use the Aussie Bird Count App to record birds in preparation for the national bird count in National Bird Week.
All you need to attend is a digital device capable of running the free Aussie Bird Count app.
Binoculars are not necessary although you are welcome to bring them.
The workshop will include information about common birds and bird watching, followed by a fun practice with the app via a twenty minute bird survey. The app is easy to use and is designed to help you identify birds. There will also be staff to help with learning bird names and use of the app on the day. Enjoy the fun of watching and recording birds in a beautiful natural environment.
Suitable for adults and kids 8+
Please be sunsmart, bring a water bottle and wear closed shoes.
Light refreshments will be provided after the survey.
