Brazil! The very word excites the imagination with a delicious blend of rhythms and colours. If you like bossa nova classics such as The Girl from Ipanema, Summer Samba and Brazil ‘66 Mas Que Nada, this concert is for you!
Award-winning Brazilian singer-songwriter Juliana Areias, the Bossa Nova Baby herself, invites you to party – Brazilian-style – and experience the magical cultural diversity that gives Brazilian music its abundance of creativity and joy.
Come on down for a stunning celebration of bossa classic from iconic Brazilian composer Antônio Carlos Jobim in this spellbinding show from a performer The Australian called, “the toast of the Perth jazz scene”.
Sunday Serenades event information
- Venue: All concerts are held in the Redmond Theatre at Prendiville Catholic College, located at 11 Prendiville Ave, Ocean Reef.
- Parking: A small number of standard and ACROD bays are located directly outside the theatre, with additional parking available on the nearby tennis courts.
- Concert times: All concerts start at 2pm and run for 60 minutes. Doors open at 1.45pm.
- Seating: All concert seating is unallocated, so sit wherever you like. All seats offer a clear view of the stage.
- Accessibility: Redmond Theatre features a flat entry with wheelchair accessible seating area. We encourage you to reach out to discuss additional accessibility requirements.
- Companion tickets: Ticket purchases made by a valid Companion Cardholder are eligible to receive an additional ticket for a carer or companion at no charge. Simply add the ‘companion’ ticket type to your cart when booking and enter your companion card number when prompted. Please note that companion tickets must be booked in conjunction with a fee-paying ticket.
- Community Transport Program: The City offers a low-cost Community Transport Program to assist patrons who need support getting to and from the concerts. To find out more, please contact the City on 9400 4000
- Cancellation policy: If a show is rescheduled or cancelled all ticketholders will be eligible for a refund. Any such changes will be communicated via email and on the City of Joondalup website. In all other circumstances, tickets are not refundable. If you can no longer attend a concert, you are welcome to gift your tickets to a friend of family member.
