Museum Mornings – Trams and Trade

Learn about the beginnings of the tramway system, its role in the metropolitan community and the reasons for its removal. Come for a journey onboard the No 6 tram in 1900 and stay seated through six decades of growth and change that transformed Subiaco’s main street from a small-town street to a community centre. Covering the period of when trams ran along Rokeby Road Jan 1900 to April 1958, we will discuss the different roles the tram and Rokeby Road played in the everchanging community.
Museum Mornings are held on the first Thursday of the month at the Subiaco Museum with a free morning tea provided.
