Recounting archaeological discoveries from Peninsula Farm
May 22 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Presented by National Trust of Western Australia and University of Western Australia.
Learn what was found beneath the turf of the Peninsula Farm gardens and be transported back nearly two hundred years to experience life in the early days of this historic farm.
For a few weeks in 2021/22 the University of Western Australia (UWA) archaeological training program undertook excavations in the gardens at Peninsula Farm, Wu-rut Woorat.
For the first time, Professor Benjamin Smith, Professor of Archaeology (World Rock Art), School of Social Sciences UWA, will present the findings from these excavations. These were the first major excavations in the gardens, and they give us a unique glimpse of life at Peninsula Farm.
Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
Ticket sales close 12pm Wednesday 22 May 2024.
